Rev. Todd Salmi

Project Lead
Todd Salmi is an engaged Wesleyan theologian; academically, practically, and spiritually.

Rev. Salmi is an pastor in The United Methodist Church, an ordained elder in new Rio Texas Annual Conference, and serves an appointment as Pastor of the United Campus Ministry at Texas State.

Rev. Salmi has served in diverse ministry contexts such as Director of Family Ministries at an in-town church with a large substance recovery community, as a chaplain intern at Georgia's Metro State Women's Prison, as children's education director in the multi-lingual and cross-culture setting of St. Michael and All Angels Anglican Church in Cuernavaca Mexico, and as an engaged member of Hyde Park UMC-Austin where he led Bible study and evangelism efforts.

Rev. Salmi is a recognized scholar. He is an alumni of the Candler School of Theology at Emory University where he received a Master of Divinity (MDiv). He received the United Methodist Seminary Award for outstanding scholarship and leadership at the Candler School of Theology. He also received the full tuition plus stipend Margaret A. Pitts Scholarship award all three years in attendance at Candler.

He also is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelors in Business with high honors (BBA-Business Honors Program, Management Information System) and Bachelors in Liberal Arts with high honors (BA-Spanish). While at the University of Texas, Rev. Salmi also received the University of Texas Endowed Presidential Scholarship and was recongized as a Century Club Scholar. Rev. Salmi is a member of the UT-Austin MIS Steering committee where he helps set undergraduate curriculum and has served as a Guest Lecturer for multiple upper division business school classes.
